About me
I work as a Director of Photography and lighting camera operator based in Bremen. My focus is commercial productions, lighting, interviews, controlled setups and small to medium-sized crews.

How I work
My working process is calm, efficient and pragmatic. Before a shoot, the first question is what the image needs to do: what atmosphere is needed, how much setup is useful, and what solution fits the schedule and budget?
Camera and lighting are not treated separately. Especially for interviews, commercial scenes and small sets, clear preparation helps keep the shoot calm, focused and efficient.

Suitable projects
Typical projects include commercial films, interviews, talking heads, small camera teams and controlled lighting setups. I can join existing productions directly or handle smaller projects with a compact setup.
When a project needs a larger scope, I can connect productions with trusted collaborators or production partners.
Background
I have been based in Bremen for 15 years and also work internationally when the project scope makes sense. Over the past nine years, I have worked across different areas of film production — including camera, lighting, location sound, editing, color grading and gaffer work.
This means I do not think about images from the camera side only, but also with the workflow, sound, edit, post-production and final result in mind. On set, I work calmly and reliably, with attention to what will be needed later in the edit and final delivery.

Collaboration
Many projects do not need unnecessary overhead. They need clear communication, realistic setups and reliable execution. I can be involved early in visual questions or precisely execute an existing idea.
Film equipment rental
For film equipment rental, I run FFV.rent separately. ClovisMichon.com remains my personal DoP and camera work site; FFV.rent is the separate place for equipment rental and technical packages.
